Well, based on my own experience, for a simple website such as Hostingmu.com takes not more then 10Mb for the script itself, and if you have daily post around 1000 words, then space of your webhosting up to 50Mb space will be great.
Database storage where posts are kept will not take lot of space. But if you store lots of big size image as well you will need a bigger website hosting space. To minimize your website hosting space you can also store images outside your own webhosting. There are many image storage out there that you can use for free.
